OVERVIEW
The 'Child's Mind Series' consists of five artworks that capture the essence of youthful wonder. Each artwork reflects on the pure perspective of childhood. The series was created between 2015 and 2016 and explores themes such as the innate curiosity of the 'Child's Mind' and the protective solace of 'Refuge of Right.' It invites viewers on a reflective journey of nostalgia and the quest for simplicity in our complex world.

Child’s Mind
I found myself asking, "Why do some people yearn to return to a child's mind?" and "What does 'Child’s Mind' mean to them?"
Perhaps those content with their lives seldom feel this longing. But for those who do wish to revert to a child's mindset, it may stem from current dissatisfaction. Why do they seek refuge in the innocence of childhood? I believe it's the stark 'contrast' between the carefree nature of childhood, free from pressure, and the present, often laden with various forms of constraint.

What is your The Child’s Mind?
What do people mean by 'a child's mind'? In 2015, I participated in an annual exhibition organized by Spot Color where I was given a task to explore the concept of 'a child's mind'. Many people participated in this exhibition, and I categorized the different ways in which people perceive a child's mind, both in the past and present.

Self-portrait, Cover on my face, Refuge on my face, Refuge on my body
I contemplated the design of my logo as if it were a doorplate, symbolizing a milestone that marks my personal space and sanctuary. The space adorned with this logo thus becomes a refuge for me. Envisioning a fabric that creates a secluded area by draping over the face, the logo emblazoned on this fabric speaks of the refuge it offers.

FINAL WORK
Refuge of Right
I perceived a shared essence between my mother and the Virgin Mary. This parallel led me to see my mother in the light of the Virgin Mary. The irreplaceable presence of my mother brings comfort and ease, akin to the sanctuary found in a child's mind. Consequently, my artwork, portraying me cradled in the Virgin Mary's arms amidst a halo of sacred light, became a haven, embodying that same sense of refuge.
