Without Saying

Unspoken Narratives: Love and Loss through Gestures

OVERVIEW

"Without Saying" delves into the often unspoken experiences of meeting, falling in love, and parting ways in male-female relationships. The project explores the dichotomy between the fairy-tale ideal of 'happily ever after' and the reality of transient connections. This video art piece uniquely uses hand movements as a primary mode of expression, supplemented by textual elements for nuances that gestures alone cannot convey.

FINAL WORK

Without Saying

Between males and females, they meet, fall in love, and break up. There is no such thing as a 'happily ever after' like in fairy tales. I expressed this in the video through hand movements, but some words are difficult to convey through gestures, so I included text.

Drawing

We can communicate without words, whether through sign language or body language. Using only our hands to communicate is a powerful tool. Therefore, I asked myself, 'What if we could transmit our message through hand gestures alone, just like speaking?'
